Help Center Financial Statements How to Generate and use Balance Sheet in Tyms
The Balance Sheet is a snapshot of your company’s financial position, showing assets, liabilities, and equity at a specific point in time.
Step 1: View Balance Sheet
- Login to your Tyms account (https://app.tyms.io/auth/login).
- Navigate to the "Accounting Module" from the module list in the top left corner of your screen.
- Select "Balance Sheet" from the sidebar navigation menu.
Step 2: Customize the Balance Sheet Report
After accessing the Balance Sheet, use these options to tailor the report to your needs:
- Filtering Options:
- Select Period: Choose timeframes such as "this quarter end, last quarter end, this half end, last half, or this year end" to view balances as of specific dates.
- Comparison Options:
- Compare with last year or last period: View balances side-by-side with previous periods.
- No Comparison: View the balance sheet without additional data.
- Grouping Options:
- Group by Period: Choose a period type, such as "monthly, quarterly, annually, or total only".
- Group by Branch, Project, or Contact: Assess specific areas or client-related transactions.
- Zero-Balance Visibility:
- Show or Hide Zero Balances: Hide zero-balance entries to streamline the report.
Step 3: Export the Report
- Export the report in Excel or PDF format using the icons at the top-right.
Step 4: AI Insights
- Use the "Ask Tyms AI" feature to get insights on your balance sheet. (Note: Tyms AI offers insights, not financial advice.)
