Journal groups allow you to efficiently organize and categorize journal entries, making it easier to track and review financial records. By setting up journal groups, you streamline your accounting process, ensuring that related entries are grouped and accessible for better financial management. 

Follow these steps to get started:

Step 1: Create a Journal Group

  1. Click the “New” button and select "Journal Group."
  2. Provide a reference number and group title.
  3. Click "Save" , and the group will appear under the "Manual Grouping" tab.

Step 2: Assign a Journal Group to a Journal Entry

  1. When creating a journal entry, navigate to the Journal Group field at the bottom right corner of the screen.
  2. Select the group you previously created from the drop-down list to assign it to the entry.
  3. If you don't have any group created, click on "Add New Group" and follow the steps in Step 1 to create a new group before assigning it to the entry.

With these steps, managing your journal entries becomes organized and streamlined.
